  1. I don't know the rules about China, but in Hong Kong constructions of indoor or outdoor are allowed only between 9am – 5pm Mon-Fri. And maybe morning in Sat, I don't really remember noise on any Sat though.

  3. I agree with you most of the views. This is also what I hope we can improve. There are so many different people in Shanghai. Probably most of them come from the countryside. Their education determines their minds. You can see that most of the young people now are positive, and their actions and ideas are not the same as their elders.

  11. The squatting toilet is in fact more healthy for your body, but you probably already know that. The reason why small shops don't have their own toilet is very obvious ofcourse (especially inside a big shopping mall), it saves a lot on manpower and money by not having to maintain/look after/clean toilets. Yes, it's annoying, but you can get used to that.
Shanghai has always been a city where demolishing and building follow eachother at a rapid pace. Don't forget that in China building is a major economic growth contributor. The downside is ofcourse the typical Shanghai fog/smog/haze where you sometimes can't see the sun even on a bright and clear day.
The good thing about the traffic is that it is IMPROVING, the last time I visited China (not Shanghai) cars actually stopped for me when I crossed the "zebrapad". It could also be caused by the traffic cameras on that spot ofcourse 😉

  13. Very honest and objective video. local Chinese know those problems very well too. Many of us hate that very much and try to do sth to improve the situation. I think most Chinese don't mind expats showing the negative sides of China. Actually objective views and sincere critism are quite healthy things. I believe some Chinese viewers just dislike the attitude from few youtube channels that keep mocking the local Chinese maliciously and cursing China all the time to please anti-China haters and make self feel superior.
